The Perfect Blend: a series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying. I fairness, the characters were well-developed, and the writing was good, it was just the plot that was very poorly executed. I was expecting a much bigger plot-line and better characters, but in all honesty: nothing happened! I put the book down feeling very dissatisfied and I would certainly never read it again or recommend it to anyone, unless you feel like reading a really uneventful book. This book was a big disappointment for me. Oops! I accidentally got Decaf: A Book You were expecting more from. I don’t actually think I’ve read any books by indie authors, so I can’t actually answer this one. The Hipster Coffee Shop: A Book by an Indie Author (Shout-Out) And I’m not surprised: Gone Girl is a pretty amazing book, but personally I think I prefer some of Gillian Flynn’s other books: Sharp Objects is my favourite. I see this book literally everywhere: in bookshops, charity shops, online, on everyone’s blogs. I recently read the second book in the series and felt exactly the same – I can’t wait to read the third book in the trilogy: Library of Souls when it comes out in paperback. I originally read it last October, and I just loved every single page. Miss Peregrine’s Home of Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
